Health and safety is one of the most important things that should be considered before any work is carried out. A construction site is prone to dangerous situations including heavy construction machinery, uneven terrains and hazardous materials. The Construction Site Safety Scheme (CSSS) now gives operators and management within the industry, correct and up to date training to stay safe on site.
Would this scheme be something you can benefit from?
WHY IS HEALTH AND SAFETY IMPORTANT?
Health and safety is particularly important because the industry is prone to hazardous situations. It can be dangerous at times. Statistics show that 3% of all construction workers in the UK sustain a work related injury. Without the correct health and safety qualifications in place, operators stand a high chance of an accident happening on site.
WHAT IS NPORS?
NPORS, otherwise known as the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme is an awarding body that enables operators to receive qualifications for training and work purposes. They are one of the UK’s leading awarding bodies covering the following sectors:
- Construction
- Industrial
- Utilities
- Warehousing and distribution
- Agricultural
- Ports and marine sectors
Operators that choose NPORS courses will benefit from flexible training whilst maintaining high industry standards.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE NPORS CONSTRUCTION SITE SAFETY SCHEME?
The Construction Site Safety Scheme (CSSS) is a group of health and safety training courses perfect for operators, supervisors and management staff.

Our Site Awareness course is perfect for anyone working on a construction site, or in a similar industry. It’s always great to be up to date with the latest health and safety knowledge, especially on site. You’ll never know when it’ll come in handy.
This particular course is also equivalent to the QCF Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. So what will the course involve?
Our skilled instructors will ensure all individuals will have an understanding of:
- Risk assessments

The Site Safety Manager course is ideal for anyone who has responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff.
