Have you ever considered completing construction training, but you’re not directly involved in the industry? The NPORS Plant Mover training course could be the perfect option for you, so it’s not a strange request at all!
We often receive enquiries from individuals that need to know the basics of moving machinery around, but not fully operating it. Find out more about our plant mover course, and the benefits of booking onto our plant machinery training course in Kent below.
WHY CHOOSE THE PLANT MOVER TRAINING COURSE?
Although this particular NPORS training course covers how to move construction machinery around, it will not go into complete detail for anyone who is already within the industry. This course is perfect for anyone who has non-operational duties. For example this could include anyone working as a plant mechanic, or even delivery drivers who will be required to safely move the machines off a low-loader or a truck.
Are you planning on hiring out a mini digger to do some DIY at your home? If the answer is yes, then the plant mover course could also be a great choice. Most companies will offer the choice of an operator when you hire a machine, but how fantastic would it be to be able to do it yourself. We would recommend the plant mover course, as it would give you some existing operating knowledge. Plus we wouldn’t want you causing havoc to your garden, if you weren’t completely sure what you were doing.
WHAT WILL THE PLANT MOVER TRAINING NPORS COURSE INVOLVE?
If you’re thinking of booking onto our NPORS plant mover training course, then it’s always a good thing to know what the course actually involves.
Operators will cover the following:
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as an operator
- Be able to locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain what they are used for
- Conduct all pre-operational checks
- Prepare machinery for use and operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Storage and transport of machinery attachments
The plant mover training course runs for 2 days as standard for complete novices. The option for an EWT (Experienced Worker Test only) is also something we can offer to individuals with existing knowledge. Upon booking, we will carry out an analysis of any operators and assess their previous experience to determine how long the course will run for.
